American Public Television's MOYERS & COMPANY Nominated For News & Documentary Emmy® Award

AMERICAN PUBLIC TELEVISION'S MOYERS & COMPANY NOMINATED FOR A NEWS & DOCUMENTARY EMMY® AWARD

BOSTON (July 18, 2014) – The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced nominations for the 35th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards on July 15, 2014, selecting American Public Television’s (APT) MOYERS & COMPANY as one of five programs in the "Outstanding News Discussion and Analysis" category.

APT's MOYERS & COMPANY joins fellow powerhouse news programs in this category, including CNN’s Anderson 360°, CBS’s Face the Nation, Ora TV’s Larry King Now, and PBS’s PBS NewsHour.

MOYERS & COMPANY is a weekly series of smart talk and fresh, new ideas. Bill Moyers, former White House Press Secretary for the Johnson administration and esteemed American journalist and public commentator, serves as the host and invites guests to discuss issues of the day. MOYERS & COMPANY premiered January 13, 2012 on public stations across the country. The program, produced by Public Affairs Television and presented by WNET/New York, is currently in its third season.

The News & Documentary Emmy Awards, which will be attended by more than 1,000 news, television, and media executives, as well as documentary producers and journalists, will be presented on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in New York City.
